What's Hot

Personally, I like creating cartoons and drawing imaginative animals, futuristic buildings, and unworldly creatures. I dislike it when people take unoriginal ideas—instead, I prefer to imagine and manage my own world of different characters. I rarely color my drawings—I tend to focus on the detailed bits. I enjoy designing different foods and buildings—drawn from deep within my visions of this unique world—because it always makes the canvas feel more meaningful to me.

I imagine that somewhere in this universe, my sketches are as important to other people as they are to me, and even the detail and odd shapes can distract from how life can be lifeless at times.

    Probably Fish

In Probably Fish, each fish has its own little personality. While the one in orangy pink looks flustered, others—like the dotted turquoise look sophisticated.

    Little Shop

Who knows what could be inside this cozy little shop?

    Blueberries

    Just some blueberries

    Little Town

This piece focuses on the structure and energy of a bustling street scene in a little village. It depicts a lively area with various businesses, including restaurants and an ice cream bar, surrounded by intricate details that capture each brick, each chimney, and little interesting items. Through this sketch, I aimed to convey the dynamic atmosphere of a busy street, showcasing how architecture and human activity intertwine to create a lively, everyday environment.

    Galactic Ramen

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was personally affected by the virus and spent a period of recovery with my family. Once I started feeling better, my Mom asked where I’d like to go to celebrate, and I chose a Japanese restaurant. I ordered Miso Ramen, and the dish’s warmth felt especially comforting after my illness. This experience was so inspiring that for the rest of the afternoon, it felt like my mind was flooded with the savory broth. I spent that month recapturing the aroma and the active initiation of parched taste buds. The detailed depiction of each ingredient represents the perfect balance of flavors that made this simple meal so memorable.

    Big Fish

This piece was inspired by a cruise I took during the winter of 2023, one of the largest ships, the Mardi Gras. We departed from Florida, making several stops along the way, each filled with new experiences and treasures. Reflecting on the trip, I envisioned the cruise as a roaming zoo, a world teeming with life and wonder. The ship is depicted as a bustling hub, filled with different animals going about their tasks, while beneath the waters, various ocean creatures coexist in harmony. This artwork represents the idea of a world where different life forms can thrive together, drawing a parallel between the diversity of the ocean and the diversity found in human experiences.

As much as I love art—and everything that keeps my tiny universe afloat, I really need the opportunity to just draw—nothing else. Somewhere to empty my mind onto the paper. School and other sports can sometimes create challenges and restrict my time towards art. Creativity is a very, very identifiable skill, and the truth is that in this society, it is not appreciated to the proper extent. Everybody has creativity—or at least used to. It is the devotion to art that can keep this skill alive, and it is not easily revivable if not exercised regularly. Many people have slowly killed their identity through disturbances, but I hope that mine is able to live with me throughout my lifetime.
